"She sure is. But she still hasn't noticed something's off about mommy..."
Actually yes she has in the first few episodes she was afraid of the new weaver. She told a psychiatrist its like my mommy is dead or something like that.

Excerpt of the Day

"Sarah held Cameron's arm at the door. 'Wait. Stop a minute. Did you start a fight?'

'They did. Their price was not equitable. I attempted to negotiate a fairer price, and they refused to negotiate further. I then saw fit to amend the conditions of the trade.'

'With a bullet?', Sarah asked, snidely.

Cameron paused. 'Twenty two bullets.'"

Deep Thoughts

By cp442

Did you ever notice how pathetic it is when people bump their own threads with pointless posts? I truly pity these people. I'm glad I'll never need to resort to such knavery.

New Topic of the Day: The Ethics of Robot Labour.

Everyone loves ethical quandaries, right? Let's imagine, in the none-too-distant-future, we have robotic servants. Imagine they have the capabilities of Cameron, but forget J-Day. Just a nice, peaceful world where we have cybernetic organisms as household servants. How would you treat yours? Assume it behaves similarly to Cameron, but without the murder part.

1) Would you treat it like garbage, simply because you could?

2) Would you treat it with a modicum of respect, but still nowhere near an equal?

3) Would you be deferential to it, but only out of fear that it may someday grow to resent you if you mistreat it?

4) Or would you treat it as an equal? Though it was your property, you would still treat it with respect as befitting a fellow human.

I would fall somewhere between options 3 and 4. I mention this topic because I was thinking about how poorly John communicates with Cameron; he alternates between 2 and 4 too much. I think if I were Cameron I'd probably want to kill him sometimes, too, regardless of programming...

"It depends on how efficient it is. "
It would sweep, do dishes and laundry, clean bathrooms, and vacuum, as efficiently as Cameron murders (when the mood strikes her).

I say go for it. Just keep it in the bowl. And wash your hands.

Then I'd treat it well.

It's anything you want it to be. Seriously. I'm tired of Jams being in their boring Jam thread, and Antis being in theirs. If you want to mix anything up, go right ahead.
