"I would love to have seen Sarah make out with Arnie before he went into the molten steel. I'm in a strange mood."
Does Metal have fully functional tongues? On the topic of strange and making out, that's what I've wondered. The tongue's actually pretty damn complex, so I wonder how Metal could control one if they did have it.

Yes it does feel good.

Yes she is very hot. Like lava or Sully's weird molten steel thing. LOL

Not sure, I assume they have synthetic muscles to move the toungue but for the other parts, I don't know. Maybe they have all of the functions that we do with our toungues.

I know a lot of people don't give a damn about the really technical aspects of terminators, but I've always found them intriguing. Like for instance, if they do have muscles, what about nerve impulses and reflexes? In my fanfic, I give them a kind of spinal cord setup to convey sensory signals.

Maybe it's all synthetic, their skin and blood is. SkyNet could have experimented with stem cells leading to these creations. I find it interesting as well.

"<<<<partially quoted>>>>

Today's Topic: How did Skynet build the first hyper-alloy combat chassis?

Skynet had no physical power on J-Day, only electronic; so how could it compel survivors to fetch coltan for it, among other necessary tasks?

Feel free to discuss.

Face it, if you can accept backwards time travel as a possibility, then **anything** else and **everything** else can be equally ignored that doesn't directly support the story line...

nice thread title; it's what lured me in...

Given their complexity, I'd like to think terminators are more adaptable than they seem to be in the show and movies. Rather than learning emotion, which is of dubious value to a killing machine, terminators should be able to learn precision movements and combat styles. "Factory fresh", they are probably kind of slow and plodding, but if they could observe human movements, and practice, they should be able to increase their agility. Granted, they'll never do Jackie Chan moves...

Hey, thanks! I like to be irreverent at times, to compensate for an otherwise dour disposition.

And I know thinking too much about movie plots can get you into trouble... but sometimes I can't resist. It can be fun, trying to come up answers that weren't supplied by the creators/writers.

Yeah, Jackie Chan does some ridiculous things. I think a terminator could learn Kung Fu(spelling) if it wanted to, but it might not be that effective at it, do to the nature of it's construction. But like you said, they could probably learn emotion as well as physical habbits from humans. They're similar to us when it comes to this.

Since Cameron must have such a light endo-frame, I think they should make her a bit lighter on her feet. I really thought the ballet thing from season 1 was interesting, but they never developed it. I do think it was plausible that she could have learned to move more gracefully from dance training, and some of that finesse could be applied to combat situations.

Not I. The only Star Trek show I've seen was Next Generation, when my older brother watched it. I was only about 7 or so, but I remember thinking it was interesting.
