It may sound silly, but we could save up the money. If 1 million fans contibuted $44 each that would be enough for a whole season. Do you find this valuable?

Any legal beagles out there that know how to set-up a Trust, for this?

I'm in.

As crazy as it sounds, I'd do it. I really would, I'd try anything to save this show.

1.) Support T4 and the entire Terminator Franchise
2.) Purchase TSCC Season 1 on DVD <-- Lets face it revenue determines a shows success
3.) Purchase TSCC Soundtrack <-- Lets face it revenue determines a shows success
4.) Send constructive letters to Fox and WB (emails and snail mail)
5.) Boycott Fox broadcasting by not watching and discouraging others from watching Fox shows
6.) Possible paid advertising (billboards outside of Fox and WB Studioes saying "Fight the Future" or "Bring Back TSCC"

It may cost some money but we need to be persistent and smart and never ending. The Rangers did it with Jericho, we can do it with TSCC. I think we should collectively refer to ourselves as "The Resistance" like Jericho fans refer to themselves at Rangers.

"It's a long shot, I know, but we have to try.

Let's email Warner Bros with the following pitch:

Air TSCC on SyFy. 24 hours before it airs, make the episode available online for a minimum of $2 (additional donations accepted, if you're so inclined.) You can stream the episode as much as you want, commercial-free, but cannot download it (they need be able to make money off of DVD sales and iTunes as well.) Order a 13 episode season. If additional episodes are ordered, it will be considered a new season with 13 episodes (this is what Josh and co. would prefer.) Discounts available if you pre-order the early episode streaming all at one time. $20 for 13 episodes that you will be able to stream a day early.

Find sponsors to aid in the cost of the show that will get a 5-10 second spot at the beginning of the early online episodes stating that they sponsored this episode. They can even have banners and backgrounds on the page as well.

Episodes can then be available 24 hours following the broadcast for free streaming with commercials and to buy and download.

The way people watching TV is changing. The companies need to change with it. WB could pioneer this and the best way to do this is to start with a show that has the biggest, strongest, and most passionate fan base.

So email Warner Bros and let them know that you want this!
Scott.Rowe@Warnerbros.com
Bruce.Rosenblum@Warnerbros.com
Peter.Roth@Warnerbros.com

And title it something other than TSCC (but still relating to the content) so they don't just ignore it.

Wow.Now that's a constructive idea!!!!!

I would contribute $44 to this fund! Hell even if we didnt come up with the entire amount, say only half, that would be enough to take the "risk" out of the show financially so that a network may pick it up!

"[I posted this on a few other threads -- maybe it goes here, too.]

For all of you out there lambasting FOX -- I know, I know....it hurts like hell.... and I feel the same way.

But... we really don't know the whole story behind all this. FOX just said they're not renewing TSCC. AFAIK, they didn't give the "details" of why. Maybe they really didn't get an acceptable "offer" from WB/Halcyon, on continuing TSCC at FOX.

Maybe WB/Halcyon has shopped it around, and found a *potentially* better deal, later (after "Salvation" storms the Box Office). Maybe SyFy, CW are still looking at it, and want to see how the Movie turns out. Or maybe even one of the Big Guys, ABC, etc.

And, despite some "Twitterings," I can't believe JF would completely reject any future offers from such sources -- even a "Serenity-type" movie. He's way too smart to do that. It's the booze talkin', I think.

So, let's keep it real. The Fat Lady hasn't sung yet!

Robby"
- That's a good point.
I admit, I wanted to join the rant, but it's not very productive. Maybe after the release of T4 the buzz will entice another network to pickup the show.
Thanks for some positive ideas.
On a side note, I really hope the networks figure a better way to track viewer ship. I feel like Nielson (which actually represents less than 1% of all viewers) is like using am 8 track tape.

Posted this on another thread, so reposting here.

Chuck was up for cancellation as well, however fans of the show went one step further and went to their biggest sponsor(Subway). Fans flocked to Subway, buying sandwiches and writing on the suggestion cards that Chuck is what brought them there. Because of this, Subway saw a HUGE boost in sales for that day/week. Even cast members joined in the effort.

It's more than likely that this went a long way in saving the show.
Who were the biggest advertisers for TSCC?

Hey guys like all of you i am outraged and sad of the recent news regarding our favorite show but i for one am not giving up TSCC was (and will be again) a great show the problem was taking it to fox, I don't think that bitching to fox will help but we must plead to the WB after all they own the franchice on that note don't boycott T4 i urge you to watch it, now im not sure how long it will be before the great cast of TSCC will find seperate projects to work on but i'm hoping we will have the entire summer to get our message through Do you find this valuable?

@LqdMetal (post #50, above):

And, your point about The Neilsen's is also very relevant. "People" are beginning to "press" the issue some (it's been going on for years -- the "questioning," that is).

Interesting article in the NYT today (written yesterday) about how *bad* of shape the "Advertising Dollar" is in, on Network TV in the US (FOX, included).

A short quote:

"Estimates are that sales on the five big broadcast networks could decline by as much as 15 percent from last spring, when they sold about $9.2 billion of commercial time ahead of the 2008-9 season.

An automaker or retailer might welcome a decline of only 15 percent. But in television, where arrows almost always point up, that steep a slide in the upfront market — so named because it takes place before each season begins — could be the most severe in eight years."

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/18/business/media/18adco.html?th&emc=th

The thing that most impressed me, about the article, is what NBC is going to do about the "downturn" -- put on a prime-time comedy show with Jay Leno.

Now, that just shows the broadcast (and audience) mentality we're faced with.

I did.

I just sent a polite email to E-mail adresses: Scott.Rowe@Warnerbros.com Bruce.Rosenblum@Warnerbros.com and Peter.Roth@Warnerbros.com

showing to them that there aren't only USA viewers but there are a lot world wide.

I asked to them to think about that, to try to find other ways like this: http://io9.com/5258428/an-unexpected-chance-to-see-tscc-again or SciFi to let us receive at least an 9 episode third season.

Seriously, if anyone knows how to set this up, IM IN. Hell, I'd pay 10x that if it would save the show!
