Oh then I like the movie version better.

Wow when John got stabbed I was like "WTF?!" lol

I really liked how they went about John and who he is to people and not everyone agreed and how he became the leader

I was so scared the "John skin on Marcus" was going to happen when I saw that.

But yea, I thought it was cool how John said "You've earned it in the movie" and I don't get why they couldn't have added that to the book.

Oh man I KNOW. I leaned over to my friend and said 'oh wow, do you think they're really gonna do that leaked ending?' Cause you know, that'd be pretty smart. The ending leaks and then everyone goes "oh that's an OLD ending. no no, we're totally not doing that" and then they do it! But they didn't. So it's all good.

I was TOTALLY scared that was gonna happen. So relieved it didn't.

But talk about sacrifice on Marcus' part though.

I really liked Marcus. And his whole character worked.. because he was a TRUE cyborg. He really was part human, part machine. He wasn't machine with skin.. he really was a cyborg. I liked that.

Ya, I really liked that to. I would've liked to see more interaction between him and Connor. I think Connor starting to trust him needed more build up. I LOVED "looked at me" "it's why I don't trust you". Hell ya, Connor!

Out of 10 I give this movie a solid 8.5. I love it the action/story was great. Favorite part was the fight scene with marcus and the other terminator. Love it when JC froze him to. I unfourtnately am finding some bad reviews like " The storytelling lack the heart of the original film". When I read this I was like wtf is this douche on crack? I think the negativity of t3 is stil with some people so they might just say it is bad . 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

"The movie was AWESOME!! It was new, but paid respects to everything that is classic Terminator. What I liked most was seeing Skynet and how it works; the camps, factories, command center, arsenal, it was great. The acting was sort of ho hum, but the action more than made up for it.

This movie will be a killer blockbuster!

Props to Linda and Arnold for lending a hand and giving a seal of approval. Nice to hear the old phrases, and even a song from the original Cameron directed flicks. Go see the movie, you will not be disappointed!"
@bleedme..

What!? Acting "ho hum"? Did you watch Sam Worthington (Marcus Wright, the android)? And, Bale (John Connor)? Esp, in their face-to-face, "You will not *kill* me," dialogue?

IMO, Worthington stole the Show. Close 2d was Bale. 3d was Kyle (or maybe the cute little Black girl).

Only improvement in casting/acting would have been:

1) BAG as Marcus Wright.

2). Summer/Cameron somewhere in the flick.

"the movie was awsome!!!

there was one nod to the tv series in the score. In the main title you can here the opening theme of the 1st season titles in the background.

Christian Bale's performance was great. He is more of the John of TSCC as he is a computer hacker genius. You can see sarah's imprints on John through his speech and Fighting style. Bales performance was great all round.

my complaint was about Kate. She seemed like a throw away character that served little purpose to the story or Johns character. the scene's she is in she does her best but... really Johns only main adviser through out the movie is sarah through her monolouges on her tapes.

all in all i give the movie 5/5

Ps. I hope Summer is in the next one"
@Turncoat:

Other "nods" to TSCC:

1). The submarine. This was clearly (first?) used in TSCC? And, if so, a sure "tip-of-the-hat" to our Show and JF. (Or, has this been in other T-movies? I can't recall.).

2). A "what it means to be human" theme, re: Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington). Again, IMHO, this is the *main* thread of TSCC -- and, once more, an acknowledgment of JF's/TSCC's excellent cast and crew.

"The movie was ok. I thought TSCC was slightly better. "
@ moriluk: You gotta consider, that in a TV-series (esp like TSCC, with someone as brilliant as JF), the Director, etc, have a *lot* more time to develop characters, themes, "moods," etc -- over a period of Eps.

Not so w/a Movie -- it's wham/bang, done, in 2-hours.

But, I do agree -- TSCC is *better*, for my kind of tastes, anyway -- more of a "thinking-persons" Action/Adventure.

Yet.... WOW! How can you beat the Acton-scenes in T4!

Thumbs up. The studio did an obvious hack job re-editing this movie, and hopefully there will be a director's cut...because one can tell, there's a good movie here, but somebody thought it would be good to edit out all the 'slow' scenes...but even considering this, this movie is still actually pretty good. I am beginning to wonder what kind of CRACK these critics are smoking by giving Star Trek a positive review, while saying everything about this Terminator film THAT ONE SHOULD HAVE DEFINITELY SAID about Star Trek. They call this movie mindless fast paced action (it wasn't ...I mean, fast paced, yes, but there was a story here, unlike Trek).

Trek sucked donkey balls in all levels of filmmaking. This Terminator film was a good Terminator film, and a decent Sci-Fi B movie, which is what fricking Terminator films are!

SCC FANS: There are 'coincidental' connections to the TV Series...that one might be pleased by, although no mention of Kyle's Brother, certain things established in the series that were not in the previous films are in this movie...I won't spoil it for you. I wonder if the TV Series guys were kept up to date on some level, the coincidences are a little bit too coincidental.

Kyle Reese wore his famous TSCC wool hat and face scarf with little skulls on it.

He looked both like Biehn Reese and TSCC Reese, a good 'coincidental' blend of the two.

Interesting inclusion of the submarine...the human relplication scenario...
I think these and other things were 'coincidental' however, but i have no proof of this.

Where was Summer and Lena? It just ain't right. Bummer there was no Summer. (Sorry, I have no rhyme for Lena.) The lighting and cinematography was awesome. That DP (Shane) did a great job. Does anybody know the scene where Bale wigged out? His character was so intense for this, no wonder he went off on somebody during the melee. Do you find this valuable?

The sub wasn't first used in TSCC. They wrapped up the story on the movie last year long before TSCC wrote, although there could be some kind of linkage.

Great movie. Special effects are first rate. I liked the storyline. I can see how the critics might tear into the storyline a bit. I'm about to go see what the general consensus is across many professional critics of the movie at rottentomatoes.com, but I'm not hopeful since the storyline might not be considered tight enough.
