OK, rottentomatoes.com, many critics from across the country, tore it apart. I don't agree. Maybe just a little more complexity in the storyline would have been nice. However, the movie kicks ass and is very enjoyable. Sometimes the professional critics just don't get it.Does anybody know the scene where Bale had his meltdown? Do you find this valuable? |

Sometimes the professional critics just don't get it.I heard it was an intense scene he had with his on-screen wife...so I'm guessing when he was telling Kate that Marcus made him feel like he knew nothing about the enemy. I could be wrong though. And ya, i don't get what's up with the critics. It's an action movie. it's not the English Patient. Do you find this valuable? |

I could be wrong though.Very well put. English Patient! Seinfeld did an episode on that, where Elaine was ashamed she didn't appreciate that film. But I digress. Did anyone notice, in the opening credits, at the front of the movie, the use of "C" software language operators? Is this to imply that we software engineers are to blame for the rise of the machines? They put up shift operators, handles (pointers-to-pointers), semi-colon line terminators, etc. in an artsy way that I thought was clever. We software people get picked on a lot. The movie website rocks as much as the movie did. http://terminatorsalvation.warnerbros.com/I've done a little Flash before, but that is probably one of the best uses of it I've ever seen. One thing to recommend: Don't look a previews and/or the website before seeing this movie. Go in cold. I did and it made it more enjoyable. Do you find this valuable? |

"did anyone else get the hebee jeebes when they played the "brown noise" whenever the massive terminators were on screen??"Yes that noise intrigued me , quite a bit. I noticed it first on the trailers. I've been waiting for people to talk about it ? Is that what the people heard running from the thing ? It was like a Woowwwwing electronic noise, like electricity arcing ? edit Here http://www.iesb.net/index.php?option=com_seyret&Itemid=227&task=videodirectlink&id=1963 clip 2 come with me if you want to live... You here the sound ,similiar emit from the T-600 right around the time when Kyle utters the famous line ? Its like the effect is there for the audience, I don't know if thats correct saying that, cause that seems strange, but thats what its like. Do you find this valuable? |

I just got back from the 7:45 showing. Overall I liked it but was silghtly disappointed. SPOILERS AHEADIt started off kind of slowly but picked up. The thing that i felt was missing the most was the attention to the characters and their interacction. I wanted to see more of john as the brilliant inspiring leader. His radio speeches (Connor fireside chats as I'd like to call them) were a good start but I wanted to see more of him directly inspiring. I felt the trailer was a bit misleading. It showed John meeting Kyle in a way that made me think they would meet earlier on and interact instead of being at the end. Their meeting was a cool moment but it felt like just a taste of what was yet to come. Marcus was interesting and well done, but I felt like the writers sacrificed development of John for Marcus. So, to me this was a great starting point. I hoped and expected more to happen in this, but I feel like the sequels have a solid foundation and a lot of potential. Now positives: Great action. I would say the highlight action wise was the road chase. The connections to the eralier movies were great. Of course "Come with me if you want to live" and "I'll be back" were great but there are a lot of subtle things. Again SPOILERS If you're still reading this it's your fault! The scene where Marcus taught Kyle to sling the gun over his shoulder with a rope was a cool reference to older Kyle doing it in the first. Sarah Connor's recordings were a cool addition which made it feel connected to the original even more. You may notice the way Kyle pumps the shotgun with one arm on the truck similarly to when Sarah does it at the end of T2. Then there was the way John hacked into Skynet when breaking in which referenced the way he hacked the ATM in T2. AndI loved the way John got his facial scar at the end. Do you find this valuable? |

The most important thing to know for Terminator fans going into this movie is that this is not the dream future war movie you may have in mind with John Connor leading the resistance and developing a close friendship with Kyle Reese. This is the beggining of that. Kind of an introduction into the world of the future war. By the end of the movie you can tell this series is going in the direction you want it to and the sequel will likely be the movie you have dreamed of.

Exactly. This John is different then the John that was left standing in Crystal Peak. It's been 14 years and he's matured while seeing a lot of stuff go down. Who is he? Why do people follow him? What goes on in the mind of the man with the fate of humanity on his shoulders? I want the next movie to be more about John Connor the man and his resistance soldiers. I felt like this one was more about the world around them.

Great movie!!! My favorite after T2 and definitely a movie that had everything in it that I've been wanting to see in a Terminator movie! Christian Bale did a great job as John as well! I'm really glad they stayed true to the story! All though there was a small thing I noticed. Cyberdyne is back as the people who are responsible for building skynet, all though that the Connors blew up cyberdyne and Cyber Resarch Systems took over and built skynet..... Other then that it was great!!
