You know what sucks. Fox cancelled our show but kept Doll house. I was sitting on the toilet the other night and was like how and why FOX cancelled T:TSCC and kept Doll house. The real reason why. Then I thought about it. So like almost everyone has Tivo or dvr and recoreded the show. Well after when my DVR with Dish records the show I tell it to record it stays on that channel afterwards as if someone is still watching that channel. So Dollhouse automatically got all those viewers as if someone was watching it because our Dish recievers stayed on the channel afterwards as if someone was watching tv. Man that fucking blows man. I wonder if Direct TV DVRs do the same thing. If you record a show and you are not recording anything after the show you recorded if it stays on the channel you were recording. My Reciever will stay on the channel after the last show it records fo 2 hours then it turns itself off

Umm, FOX has local news programming at 10PM after Dollhouse. They really don't care about that hour. There's only 2 hours of Primetime programming for that network. So in terms of keeping viewers watching past a show's hour, meh. Most people usually change the program. Forgetfulness is usually a very small minority. The real reason Dollhouse was saved is MONEY. Whedon made a presentation to FOX execs saying he could give them an hour of television for 600,000 dollars. That's less than what they pay for a half hour sitcom. They jumped all over it. It had nothing to do with the quality of the show at all. They get cheap scripted programming for an hour. It could be penguins doing the hamster dance for 45 minutes, they'll still keep it on at that price.

I understand what you think is what happened to the show . Doll House equals less money to make, But I find it very hard to believe that Fox does not care if there is no one watching their show during those hours. See there was no fogetfullness to what I said as earlier. When a dvr/dish reciever records a show and then has nothing else to record afterwards it stays on the channel it was recording on. So I record T:TSCC on my DVR/ DISH RECIEVER COMBO and then when the DVR/ DISH RECIEVER is done recording Terminator it stays on as if someone is wacthing tv still and will saty on FOX and stay on while Whorehouse is on and it automatically counts as if someone is watching that piece of crap. I'm sure to sign every petition there is to saving terminator the sarah connor chronicles. I have stayed at home on fridays to watch that show which now I call it my show. I went to a website where they had a poll to save it or cancel it... OF COURSE I PUT SAVE IT but I don't know if it's really gonna happen.As Myrrdin keeps saying: Viva la resistance! Fox has a selection for TSCC on the Fox shows that you watch page, and if they allow for comments on future questionaires, we can ping on them to bring back TSCC. I have been writing letters, emails, ect... trying to get our message out there. What we need to do is find someone who can make larger ripples in the media. For example: arnold schwarzenegger. If he spoke up, there would be huge wages in the media, Terminator Fans would joing the resistance and something would happen. Fox would be forced to say something and think about it more. We need to start with any celebrity/media figure we can and work our way up. If anyone knows someone, even if it's a c rate actor, lets get to it. Have them start talking about it.Another thing we can do, write letters to our local and national newspapers. Have them do an article on the Resistance and all that we are trying to do. Let's use all media outlets we can. i just thought of this: lets ask other shows fans to get on board with us, and promise them that if their show is in jeopardy we will step in and do the same. NBC's "Chuck" fans are great and could really help out! Let's fight on Resistance! Do you find this valuable? |
