"Really??! I watched them in order on the dvd...I wonder fi I watched 'em wrong, lol!"
Well the first episode should be the one where someone comes aboard and they find something Interesting In the cargo

That episode Is called Serenity (Just like the movie) :D

I'm trying to avoid spoiling It for everyone :P

The Train Job was used as a pilot, because FOX thought Serenity didnt have enough action in it Do you find this valuable?

What?
But that wouldn't make sense for them to air it last because of the "interesting cargo".

And the fact that several characters were on the ship all season 1 and then they enter the ship later on....it's like terminator time travel apparently!

Oh. I have a Serenity questions

(forgive me if the answer is obvious or if I blind people with sheer idiocy)

But, I watched Serenity before I even knew Firefly existed and my impression was that Simon had rescued River and then the following events followed straight afterward. So, when I heard about Firelfy, I assumed River had just gotten captured again and the movie starts off where the show left off.

But, then River didn't end up being captured at the end of Firefly. So, then my slow-functioning brain kicked in and thought maybe they are just showing Simon rescuing her the first time.........and then the rest of the events are like a couple( i can't remember how much exactly) of months later????

Sorry, if I missed a vitally important element that would inform this....

Most of the character building Is done In that episode, which Is why they should have aired It first Instead of last :P

Simon only saved River once, and that's when he placed her In the "cargobox" and so forth.
Shortly after that he brought her aboard the Serenity for the first time (as shown In the episode named Serenity) In the cargobox.

The movie Serenity only shows what REALLY happened when Simon saved her, and then It jumps to the parts after all of the Firefly episodes :)
