If you have ever been fired from your job you always know the signs unless you are exceptionally dense, he knew it was over after the winter hiatus i believe, the show wasnt performing regardless of writing or whatever the ratings were bad and the show got canned it's not Josh's fault! After reading this I shuffle my blame onto just two parties:

FOX and the WB.

FOX screwed with the show's success.
WB gave up on us.

They, and only they, are to blame.

Josh couldn't tell the story he wanted the way he wanted, because of them.

"THAT is NOT the truth!

A few years ago there were regularly 26 episodes per season!
The only reason for making just 13 episodes (or a season split) is that the network can easily decide about broadcasting a show for another episodes or kill it off to replace it.
It really doesn't matter if you have to produce 22 or even 26 episodes of one show, or 2x13 episodes of two different shows (if you have good cast & crew and) regarding the quality. A TV season lasts for about 26 episodes at a certain timeslot. It's about to fill it.
Only TV by the numbers - that's what counts!
That is our problem today. This killed TSCC. "
This.

Yes. Other shows do 22 right now. There's at least one upcoming scifi show with 22 eps per season. If you as a showrunner (alone or as a team of showrunners) ensure you have enough writing staff AND have a story plan for the season, 22 eps are fine.

Unless outside forces meddle. In that case RRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGEEE!

They really screwed him over.

This was the WB's plan all along, it doesn't seem like they wanted the show to go past 2 seasons, it was just to stay around until T4 came out.

The man sounds really down, I hope Schmacky's video will cheer him up a little.

What format should that video be in? I've only got a mobile camera that shoots .mp4 files.

Yeah, could be!
Just revive the Terminator franchise (using TSCC) only to promote a new movie series...

But on the other hand, the results are not very convincing (TSCC cancelled and T4 is not bringing salvation to the franchise).
The greater goal should be making loads of money - on TV and on the big screen.
Maybe FOX/WB/HALCYON are not the right ones to bring Terminator to the next level.
Their concepts seamed to be quite confusing.
