Wanna ask Ashley Edward Miller a question?
Jun 6 2009, 8:50 AM EDT | Post edited: Jun 6 2009, 8:50 AM EDT
Post it in here. AEM has agreed to do an interview with me (Mainly because I am building a WIKI for him) But I'm of course going to throw in some questions about TSCC. So, what would you like to know from Mr. Miller? Post it here. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Ok here's my question:

If TSCC were to be picked up by "X" network, but with a smaller budget, would the cast and crew agree to receiving a bit less money? For the sake of the fans?

Q: Did you and Zack create Derek Reese? Or was it JF's basic idea and you expanded on it?
What did you base Derek's personality on, ie. did you draw upon cool tough dudes you have personally known or was Derek's personality a unique creation of yours?

No kidding? It's great that he spends time answering questions from fans. Not only is he busy writing for TV but he just moved, and he's also about to become a father (I assume it's his first?). And yet he takes time to answer questions from fans. He's a great guy, and very giving with his time.

I think it would be fun if he could give us an idea of what it was like the writer's room, maybe some of the funny times they had in there together.

And also, how different is it working on Fringe compared to TSCC.

Can you give us an idea of the "theme" for the wiki?

What about writing a novel over the Season 3 story arc so at least we get some sort of closure? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

In season 1 episode 6 D&D, was there any significance attached to the music in the basement and were we ever going to find out what happened to Derek there, and who was in the basement with him?

Is it possible for him to elaborate on that?

Can he talk about what S3 would have been? Maybe not giving too much, but something... anything. ;-)

I want to know his opinion on how good a chance we have of a TSCC renewal.

Who was his favourite character? Which storyline did he enjoy writing about the most?

What intrepid asked about the basement....But, if the answer is not something that was supposed to be obvious for us, then ask him not to give it away....The less he gives away, the better chances we have of actually seeing it happen.

Does he have any advice for us regarding the way we approach TV networks and their execs?
Does he have an idea of what kind of fan support they are looking for?
Are we on the right track (with e-mails, phone calls, forum rallies, twitter)?
What else can we do to show our support that we haven't thought about?

Which network does he personally think could actually pick up this show? and which network execs have actually shown an interest for TSCC?

Has JF really given up on the show? Who else is fighting for TSCC that was actually involved with it?

What other projects is he working on now?

and please thank him for all he has done for us and for the show on our behalf, and also congratulate him on his expanding family, we wish all the best for him (that sort of thing, haha). He's a great guy.

Good luck with the interview, badcompany! I can't wait to see the wiki you're making for him. What sort of things is it going to feature?

To this belongs another question: Who gave Derek the axe to let him free? And why have we never got any answers to all the basement questions?

Ok badcompany, just in case that you are real. You have not been in this wiki for a very long time yet. No offence!

TSCC was no success. T4 is underperforming. Is there a future for the terminator franchise?

TSCC is a Sarah Connor story but nobody has promoted the show as such - not Fox, not WB not other tv stations in other countries. Why?

TSCC crashed in season 2. The season final might have been a radical change in the direction of the show. Was this the idea behing the finale? To get the show to work again?

He can't and will not do so. He has made this already very clear.

Maybe that's why we still don't really know the answers to all the Derek in the basement questions. Maybe we were/are supposed to find out in season 3.

May be - may be not.

Fact is that we got never answers to Cameron's backstory and I think that the turtued Derek in the basement is part of Cameron's backstory. Even the Allison from Pamdale episode gave us more questions than answers. Actually I would have used season 3 to answer the questions by repeating history but of course slightly different. I would have created a new Cameron and let her go through a similar story line as the original one to explain how it might have been in the original timeline.

On the other hand it does not make much sense to me to set up something in season 1 and give the answers in season 3. During the back nine episodes I always hoped for some more interesting answers, never got them and lost all my faith into the writers. I am very disappointed.

1. Yes, I am real, and Yes AEM has agreed for me to interview him for wiki/term questions.

2. Thanks for all your questions, I have added them in , and i will do my best to get them all answered, respectfully.

3. Not sure when the interview is, so if you still have questions, still keep asking

4. I will make sure to thank him, and let him know that a lot of the questions were from Fans.

My Q:

"Was Cameron intended to be anatomically correct and fully functional?"

EDIT:

"Also, was Cameron supposed to be capable of becoming pregnant?"

OT:
I think they made such a good show that they should receive more, or, some percentage of the winnings.
