"There is sooo much more going on with TSCC not being here than just one man.I believe this, and a lot of people bashing JF are still just frustrated over losing something where they clearly saw value and quality at least somewhere in the show. Do you find this valuable? |

I wish Josh would be stronger in some of the things he says, especially the ones in regards to the effort to save TSCC. It's very frustrating to read the things he is saying because of the passive tone he is using; he is definitely taking the safe road. I wish he would just come out with fists held high...and...well ...you know the rest. We want TSCC back! Do you find this valuable? |

"Sure, but he doesn't own TSCC. Warner Bros does. Joss Whedon fought like hell for Firefly - because he OWNS it. It's his. Terminator is not Josh's product. He was a hired gun. That's it. Do you find this valuable? |

"I don't get into Josh Friedman bashing, because I don't really see the point. I think there were several reasons working together that caused the show not to make it. One reason that's not mentioned much is the economy. I've been trading equities for 10+ years and when the financial crisis came to a head in Oct, that was all I could talk about for 6 months. Many people are not aware of how profoundly disastrous this crisis could have been, and in fact, it hasn't been completely resolved in an appropriate manner. But that is another discussion.SurfingEagle TSCC have a nice rating of about 5.000.000 in Monday, Fox put TSCC in Friday to kill the show and used it to help with Dollhouse. TSCC was a expensive show and FOX want something inexpensive (Dollhouse) and 100% Fox (Dollhouse). TSCC belong to WB and Halcyon (Terminator Company), (in my opinion). It is true Josh Friedman is not perfect, nobody is perfect, he made some mistakes; however rating go down hard in Friday. TSCC is good TV about people fighting for a good cause, people making tough choices, about family values.... I am going to fight for TSCC because it is a good cause, maybe I will lose, maybe I will win; If nobody fight for good TV we will have only silly TV Shows, crap TV SHOWS, bad for your mind and soul Do you find this valuable? |

"It's a handshake, and you don't want to leave the other guy hanging."Well, this is fitting enough; seeing as this is exactly what he did by ending TSCC on a cliffhanger. Do you find this valuable? |

"SurfingEagleI have read many posts and other sources regarding the debate over Halcyon, WB, Fox, bad story arcs and ratings. These are all potential factors in the demise of TSCC. People have a tendency to want to assign blame to one person or cause. My point is that there are many factors other than JF. Even though, many people want to find that one entity that's ultimately responsible, and in many cases, that is appropriate. Even on top of these existing factors, I can further extend an argument that an economic down turn contributed as much as anything else. In a recession, one of the first things that companies cut back is advertisement. This forces Fox to compete harder for advertisement dollars. Any show that is expensive and has mediocre ratings like TSCC is going to be cut in favor of an inexpensive show with mediocre ratings simply because they can improve their margins with the inexpensive show. If TSCC had consistently great ratings rather than OK ratings, then Fox would be foolish to cut a profitable show even if it were expensive and beyond their creative control. But that was not the case for S2 of TSCC. I'm a fan of the show, and I personally think that Fox missed an opportunity with this show. Do you find this valuable? |

The reason I think that Fox missed an opportunity, is that they are probably looking mostly at the numbers and avoiding risk. But the show demonstrated quality to me, and the last 4 or 5 episodes demonstrated that they could move the story forward at a decent pace. Maybe, Fox should just buy the rights from WB or Halcyon or whoever and produce the show themselves. Of course, that's probably too expensive as well.
