Josh Friedman Acknowledges Terminator Wiki Support
Jun 9 2009, 4:24 PM EDT | Post edited: Jun 9 2009, 4:27 PM EDT
Josh Friedman acknowledged the support of the fans in his Monday interview with SciFi on SciFiwire.com.

This would be an excellent high traffic and "Josh Friedman read" blog post to show some MASSIVE support. It might be enough to get him into action.

Supporting TSCC here is almost effortless. There is no registration required to comment.

Please leave supportive intelligent comments and for god's sake, please just ignore the usual three trolls.

Getting Josh Friedman on our side and in an active role is the equivalent of gaining an extra "Queen" in chess.
It might happen with a huge out pouring.

If were working with chess analogies here, then we're one move away from checkmate and we can't afford to promote our pawn to queen. Where's the Turk when you need it? 1  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Uh, shouldn't Josh Friedman be leading us to rally around him, rather than the ohter way around.

We're proven to promote TSCC. Why wouldn't he want to connect and us us as a resource?

Curious...

Friedman is no Whedon. He will not rally behind his own show as Whedon has done several times in the past e.g. Buffy, Firefly and, recently, Dollhouse. JF moped around the WB lot during TSCC's production and has continued to do so since its cancellation. Honestly -and I don't care if I get flamed for this - JF is a crybaby. He invited everyone to his pity party with that blog rant and burned bridges with WB to boot. Yes, the man gave us TSCC, but he also killed, burned and buried it just as quickly. /melodrama

Maybe so, but we need him in the fight really bad.

What I am asking isn't hard and takes as little effort as commneting here.

Josh has said this before "The people that control the franchise need to be interested in another iteration of not just Terminator, which clearly they are, but TSCC, which at this point they are not. "

------------------------------------------------------------------
It's a shame the WB closed the book on TSCC. They aren't interested in shopping it around. Josh said that a few weeks ago after the cancellation. Now he's said it again.

It's going to take a lot to change WB's mind. <shrug> maybe the fans will eventually get a dvd movie. It took 2 years to get Serenity made.

I don't get into Josh Friedman bashing, because I don't really see the point. I think there were several reasons working together that caused the show not to make it. One reason that's not mentioned much is the economy. I've been trading equities for 10+ years and when the financial crisis came to a head in Oct, that was all I could talk about for 6 months. Many people are not aware of how profoundly disastrous this crisis could have been, and in fact, it hasn't been completely resolved in an appropriate manner. But that is another discussion.

TSCC explored many darker psychological issues through many characters, which is fine, but in fearful times people probably turned away from a show that was not bright and cheery. In another environment, TSCC may have survived and even prospered. This is all speculation on my part, but then speculation is all any of us really have after the cancellation.

I'm not saying JF did everything perfect, but we're all fans of the show. So, he must have done something right. Any ways, I would support any effort that JF makes to continue his vision of TSCC if it meant an actual continuation of the show in some form.

I have to agree. He took the show in a direction that I did not expect. Sure he made some mistakes. But he opened a door that no one in the series had bothered with until now.

commented just now.

As a first step, we need to encourage sci-fi channel to run the 31 episodes already made. Then, if the ratings are good they may consider ordering new episodes.

TSCC would benefit from syndication. TSCC had complicated storys that would make better sense if it was being aired weekdays.

It took 4 weeks (plus a 2 month hiatus) to resolve the 3 dots. In syndication, the 3 dots would be explained in one week. ;-)

I liked what you did there, too.

There is sooo much more going on with TSCC not being here than just one man.

TSCC is going to be missed. It just wouldn't be the same if someone else took over the reigns.
