"Great, that means that it is a "financial success" right? Wasn't the cost $200 and the break-even $230 mil?ok of the 320 million, the theatres get 1/2 of that ? if so it has only made160 mil. I think though that when they say it cost 200 mil, it really didnt or wb actually pays itself for production costs. like when josh said wb charged 45,000 a month for his little office, that "rent" figured into the production cost of TSCC, which is why it was expensive to make ? it is these inflated charges for things like the office. that said I think T-4 will make money but not as much as T-2 or T-3 T-4 just wasnt the movie fans wanted. now on transformers 2 , this one seemed silly to me as well , like it was done mainly for 10 year olds, but insanely with other stuff thrown in for the adults. also like T-4 it just lacks a good story, actin is fine special effects are great, but if the story and dialogue is stupid ....you have a stupid movie. I liked the first transformers, but this one just didnt have a good story or dialogue. It opened real strong but I think word of mouth will hurt it same as T-4 Do you find this valuable? |

"Truth is, anyone that expects to see things like "in depth story lines", "plot and/or plot twists" "imaginative writing" and wants to actually feel like they are connecting with the characters in any movie nowadays is setting themselves up to be letdown/disappointed. Sadly it has become apparent that the average viewer (TV or movies) is only interested in the wham bamm simple movies and TV and reality crap that has taken over since the late 90's. IMO It was the average person's fault that our show failed and its the same average persons fault that movies arent what they used to be...... they have become simpletons. Our show was in depth, complex, engaging, and, AND!! It made you think.... and that is why IMO it failed.. Networks and studios follow trends..... and since most folks it seems have devolved back to laughing at fart jokes and thinking its good TV to watch people eat disgusting things or sing badly and embarrass themselves.... the networks and studios provide "entertainment" to suit their simple minds. Our show failed because it wasn't entertainment (but it was damn entertaining), It was Brain Food. and the idiot children of society couldn't digest it...... so they shunned it. SOCIETY BE DAMNED "what you say is true, but with tv it is the neilsen audience that are simpleton, and with movies the theatre goers are the ones who make or break movies, and studios always look at theatre revenue over dvd sales cable viewings etc. so going to a theatre to support a movie you think is good, is like "voting " for it and that type of movie. todays movies are mostly poorly written so they are never as good as they could be. Whilst I liked the movie, the lack of originality hurt it, a lot. All that movie was was Stargate, but with big robots instead of Goa'uld.Stargate: Aliens come to Earth and influence it in ancient times Transformers: Aliens come to Earth and influence it in ancient times Stargate: Aliens come back to Earth and try to destroy it Transformers: Aliens come back to Earth and try to destroy it Stargate: Pyramids built by aliens (space port) Transformers: Pyramids built by aliens (superweapon vault) Stargate: Humans + other aliens save Earth Transformers: Humans + other aliens save Earth Stargate: Some of said aliens like Earth, some hate it (Tokra/Goa'uld) Transformers: Some of said aliens like Earth, some hate it (Autobots/Decepticons) Enough ranting, the point is, they could have tried an original plotline. Do you find this valuable? |
