"Good luck seeing what the action is - you really can''t SEE it. Things move and change so fast - ALL THE TIME - that it is geared for kids zonked on sugar with ADHD.

Not an enjoyable visual experience.

And although you really had to suspend disbelief when the big human harvester started snatching people in T4, this just gets to be way too much: you get wonr out before the opening credits even roll.

And then the plot and the dialogue will REALL sink you into a blue funk...

Anybody remember Unltraman? At least he dicked the crap out of a city on purpose - and he wasn't trying to hide as a truck while doing it!

Somehow, it that simpler time, two guys in a rubber suit fighting each other where you could see the strings on the "fighter jets" wizzing by made more sense to me.

At least I could follow the action!

I Trans 2 it is very hard to tell who is what fighting who why and which one is winning. Sheeesh!"
I'm still recovering from Armageddon.

You mean this Voltron http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086824/

Armageddon???
Didn't you know that any self-respecting oil man could punch a hole into an asteroid. Besides it had bruce willis in it, how could you go wrong. Didn't know that was michael bay. It was at least entertaining.
And like I have thought for 20 years, almost all movies are no more than cartoons that you will drive yourself crazy if you try to analyze much of anything in the movie.

Car chases, loud rock music, hot chicks and big explosions?

I've gotta see it. Winter is the season for deep movies.

Bring on some shallow!

"T4 is at $320 million worldwide

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=main&id=terminatorsalvation.htm

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Great, that means that it is a "financial success" right? Wasn't the cost $200 and the break-even $230 mil?

So all the crap in the media about T4 was just that: crap.

"
That's not good news.

It'll need double its budget to be considered a successful summer blockbuster.
That's, at minimum, $400,000,000, and it stands at $320,300,000 now.

In the US it has made $119.7 million, and won't make much more than that.
So the foreign market is win or lose now.

It has made $200.6 million in the international market now, while being out for three weeks in most countries.
Early last week it had grossed $164.8 million internationally, and therefore (for those who can't work it out on their own) made $35.8 million dollars last week (weekend *included*.)

It made $97.2 million in the first week of international release.
$66.8 million in the second week. (31.3% drop)
$35.8 million in the third and most recent week. (46.5% drop.)

Let's pretend it maintains a 33% weekly drop rate, similar to the first week (which it won't.)
If that was the case (and it'd be really good if it was the case), then Salvation would make:
$22.5 million this week.
$15 million the following week.
$10 million.
$6.6 million.
$4.4 million.

The sum of that is $61 million.
Add that to the $200 million it has already made internationally, plus (an estimated) $130 million that it could make in the US, and the final gross will be around $391,000,000 dollars.

That is both less than T3 and less than twice its budget.

AND that final gross is being *extremely generous* with regards to how much money it will make in the weeks to come, because clearly its losing more than 33% each week.

To put it lightly, the box office returns are up pooper creek without a paddle.

Better than Salvation. And it did had a plot, it's your fault for not seeing, it even surprises me since you claim to be part of this superior branch of the human race(to OP).

Hangover is an overrated piece of crap imo, laughed about two times.

Don't wanna hear or see any of your walls of text that no one but your boyfriend, whatever his name was reads.

And it was much more humorous than the first one.

As if! Most of the people on this board LIKED T4, there are only a few of us who didn't and we get flamed every time we say so.

I don't care about Hangover, but Up was a great movie. I'm just saying, if you DON'T want to see Transformers, check out Up!

proving Europeans are more open to good movies than us Americans. and also proving that Europeans do not find Ben Stiller all that interesting either.

Gonna go see Up tomorrow, it's made by Pixar and that old man seems like a very entertaining character.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Salvation. But Transformers is better.

Good, you will not be disappointed! ^^

And I don't wanna go off on a T4 tirade again, but SERIOUSLY people...

It was panned critically as well as by the general public! Everyone that i've talked to (other than the people on this board obviously) didn't like it, or didn't wanna see it! There's a REASON IT AIN'T MAKING MONEY!

Not to mention Terminator just isn't as popular as it used to be and there was no Ahnuld. Simple as that.
