Michael Bay is possibly the worst director in Hollywood. He has two ways of shooting a movie - bad and really, really bad. If you're a fan of overt patriotism, things exploding for no apparent reason and obligatory panoramic shots that circle stunned, sweating and speechless protagonists, then Transformers 2 is likely a film you'd enjoy. Do you find this valuable?

Yeah he was retared, back before there was Raw, all we got was an hour Show each weekend, in which fools like him, beat up on the worlds worst jobbers.

I actually Saw Triple HHH's very first match, alogn with the Undertakers first entry. So see these guys still hanging around is pretty strange. for others like piper, its just heartbraking for guys like me.

And no i am not this troll who is taking up their alias's.
I was more of a Sting guy myself.

these days, i only really care about Kelly Kelly. Do you find this valuable?

I saw him slap that board across Andre the Giants face. in Andres lats televised match.

I always swore andre was not acting there, He was genuinely pissed off at that cross eyed idiot.

I also saw the rise of Shawn Michaels Career. to see him now, is also very sad.

To all, enjoy shia Laboooooo in Transformers 2. i hope for your sake, he saves the movie for you. Do you find this valuable?

Oh Jake the Snake Roberts, You werent around to see Him and undertaker conspire to ruins him and the late miss elizabeths wedding, did you?

that storyline eventually led to them turning Mark Calloway into a good guy from death valley. Do you find this valuable?

It'll need double its budget to be considered a successful summer blockbuster.
That's, at minimum, $400,000,000, and it stands at $320,300,000 now.

In the US it has made $119.7 million, and won't make much more than that.
So the foreign market is win or lose now.

It has made $200.6 million in the international market now, while being out for three weeks in most countries.
Early last week it had grossed $164.8 million internationally, and therefore (for those who can't work it out on their own) made $35.8 million dollars last week (weekend *included*.)

It made $97.2 million in the first week of international release.
$66.8 million in the second week. (31.3% drop)
$35.8 million in the third and most recent week. (46.5% drop.)

Let's pretend it maintains a 33% weekly drop rate, similar to the first week (which it won't.)
If that was the case (and it'd be really good if it was the case), then Salvation would make:
$22.5 million this week.
$15 million the following week.
$10 million.
$6.6 million.
$4.4 million.

The sum of that is $61 million.
Add that to the $200 million it has already made internationally, plus (an estimated) $130 million that it could make in the US, and the final gross will be around $391,000,000 dollars.

That is both less than T3 and less than twice its budget.

Anybody who makes these summer blockbusters expects twice the budget to be made back.
Otherwise they don't consider it to have been a worthy use of time and money.
T3 was a disappointment for its makers and it made 216% of its budget. T4 will be lucky to earn 200%.
For comparison, T2 earned 480% of its budget. (T1 isn't really comparable, but it made 1200%.)

And none of the other summer blockbusters have performed as poorly as Salvation.
Star Trek, Wolverine, Angels and Demons have earned at least 200% of their budget (and then some, especially Angels and Demons.)
Up has made 235 million dollars domestically alone (though it won't be released internationally for months.)
Transformers hasn't been out long enough to tell (obviously), but I'll send you a pint of my blood if it underperforms.

So the fact that there's a global recession isn't a valid excuse for not meeting industry standards. 3  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

The first movie didn't really have a plot. But Optimus and the other autobots are likeable. But the stories never make sense and are kind of irksome.
