"Good, you will not be disappointed! ^^

And I don't wanna go off on a T4 tirade again, but SERIOUSLY people...

It was panned critically as well as by the general public! Everyone that i've talked to (other than the people on this board obviously) didn't like it, or didn't wanna see it! There's a REASON IT AIN'T MAKING MONEY!

Not to mention Terminator just isn't as popular as it used to be and there was no Ahnuld. Simple as that. "
Trigger, a lot of what you say is true, but when you compare T4 to Museum 2 it is really, really not fair to the T franchise, the Museum movie was THAT bad...

So (conspiratorialist that I am) still believe there was some spin doctoring in the media to take Terminator down, any way Murdock & his minnions could.

BTW, Star Trek had a gaping hole in ITS plot - which was the Romulan could have simply used Spock's ship to go fix his sun, but choose to tear up billions of other people's lives out of revenge. His motivation was he lost his wife and child. If he had done what he was supposed to (the right thing) - and Spock would have certainly helped bc he was on HIS way to DO exactly that - then his family would have been spared in the future...

I've seen T4 several times now, and it has enough redeeming qualities to not be panned - unless you just want to rant (which is also something I'm known for, so I ought to know.

Snark all you want, but Marcus Wright, Kyle, Star, Blair Williams and Barnes are all good characters that I have come to enjoy and hopt to see more of. Other than the characters of Star Trek and TSCC, I can't say that about much of the stuff I've seen - even action heavy flicks like Crank 2.

"I'm being downvoted because I said Transformers 2 is better than Salvation. I think I'm starting to understand how Gusar feels about Dollhouse. And most of the AJ's I bashed along the time. There are a few I don't regret bashing though."
Uh, look where you're AT man! What WOULD you expect? If (they) did anything different, would you consider them Terminator fans?

Play nice Claude...

I'm not in the mood to play with immature little boys today. Go spank yourself and go to your room. No pancakes for you today.

But to make backhanded remarks to someone that hasn't done anything to you, is the act of a punk and a coward. Don't go there, please. Unless you are involved with the financing on helping me to buy a new car, what does it matter to you? Don't hate, congradulate.

"As if! Most of the people on this board LIKED T4, there are only a few of us who didn't and we get flamed every time we say so.

I don't care about Hangover, but Up was a great movie. I'm just saying, if you DON'T want to see Transformers, check out Up!"
Even though I really liked T4 don't let the flamers get to you. To each her own :).

Up was a really good movie, one of the best I've seen this year. I recommend as well.

You make me laugh, for someone that has a respectable age, you certainly can't hold your ground when it comes to being bashed. Besides, it's too funny when you start writing endless posts ranting about SOMEthing, which will only be read by two, maybe three persons. I know I read once, you ended up claiming how your Chevy is awesome.

To go spank myself? Now why the hell would I do that? Unless you see me as this sick, possibly masochist man.

Not in the mood? That's what you always say.

Well, since the topic of the thread was Transformers and not Terminator Salvation, I guess we can get back to trashing it.

The movie has a lot of explosions. Optimus Prime is a decent character. But the plot sucks. So does Shia LeBeouf. And most of the other supposed villains.

Its cheesy, cliched, and worn out. I don't understand the hell they are supposed to be fighting for. . .or what they claim they are fighting over.

I'm not against being bashed, when I deserve it. But to just throw out rubbarbs at someone without cause is trying to be a bully.

And no, being Kobe Bryant's size, I am not used to that - so yeah, I will go all ghetto on your ass. You survive in Compton, CA the year it was the most dangerous city in the USA and see if you allow someone to talk shit about you. Homey don't play that.

You did some research, but you need to do more. Pick your battles wisely...

And as for the car, what is YOUR obsession with my possessions? I don't make remarks about the Ipod you own...

And no, this time I'm really not in the mood: I came out of successful surgery last week, and a successful meeting this week to head a summer media project for youth now sanctioned by the local school district, and several politicians - who ore out on the fundraising trail as we speak. I have two doxen people volunteering as staff which includes 3D animators and videographers and axquired all the equipment, software and teachers I need to make this program fly - which will probably be self funding within 18 months.

Do you think I really want to deal with a snot that instead of being outside playing ball or spending QT with his GF (if he has one) is calling me out on some shit that doesn't matter? If you don;'t like my posts then don't READ them.

I have enough people that send me compliments (as in TODAY) and private message thanking me for my insights. If that is over your head that is not my problem. If you can't read more than a paragraph or two at a time that is not my problem. But when you project your problems onto me and try to make me the brunt of your jokes, then buddy, you WILL have a problem!

So go play. You are dismissed. Let grown folks talk, since you seem to have nothing more to contribute than the level of fart jokes.

I really didn't like the parents. Any movie targeted at youth always seems to want to make adults - esp. parents, look bufoonish and stopid.

I'm trying to remember the sci fi horro flick starring Treat Williams on cruiesliner attacked by a deep sea squid monster. They way they had the CGI move the monster looked to me how they did Trans3. The robots would start spinning in several places and new parts would just materialize out of nowhere and you had no idea what is would/could shape shift into.

That is not the toys I bought my son. You had some idea what a character would/could transform into.

I haven't seen this in a movie theater (and don't plan on making that investment) but the transformation sequences didn't seem logical. Plus, who/why they integrate made no sense - and they kept doing it over and over and over for no reason.

Bad.

Good IF you're a kid with a poor attention span.

Truth is, anyone that expects to see things like "in depth story lines", "plot and/or plot twists" "imaginative writing" and wants to actually feel like they are connecting with the characters in any movie nowadays is setting themselves up to be letdown/disappointed. Sadly it has become apparent that the average viewer (TV or movies) is only interested in the wham bamm simple movies and TV and reality crap that has taken over since the late 90's. IMO It was the average person's fault that our show failed and its the same average persons fault that movies arent what they used to be...... they have become simpletons. Our show was in depth, complex, engaging, and, AND!! It made you think.... and that is why IMO it failed.. Networks and studios follow trends..... and since most folks it seems have devolved back to laughing at fart jokes and thinking its good TV to watch people eat disgusting things or sing badly and embarrass themselves.... the networks and studios provide "entertainment" to suit their simple minds. Our show failed because it wasn't entertainment (but it was damn entertaining), It was Brain Food. and the idiot children of society couldn't digest it...... so they shunned it. Actually, I don't think any of my nephews would want to go to see it. They are getting more into anime. I got them the box set of Naruto last year and they went nuts. They love that Sasuke.

The transformation sequences don't really bother me. But plot lines that go no where, what was the All Spark. Why were they fighting over it. This thing was supposed to help the Decepticons rule the universe. Yet it disintegrated in Megatron's body.

Its a plot that even kids get frustrated with.

ok i will bite

yeah your right about the reality crap its god awful junk!!!

However just because lots of people didnt like TSCC doesnt mean they are stupid for not liking it, It had these things going against it up against shows like Monday night football [you cant beat that in ratings], people were trashing it even before the pilot ever aired, No Arnold, A female terminator [i liked the tx and cameron but some people just dont], then they add derek reese, now i liked derek alright but im sure some people thought the idea was stupid of making up the character derek out of nowhere and him being kyles never before mentioned brother, then you get the cliffhanger at the end of season 1 car bomb = cheesy but this was due to the writers strike, season two after two to three episodes just got very very silly with the 3 dots ideas and such it was a good show but obviously after almost every couple episodes the ratings were falling so something must have been wrong to some people

continuing from above

for example in season 2 things like sarah talking to a preggo chick for seemingly 10 to 15 minutes in AFP episode just is not terminator [its soap opera 101] neither is a damn cross dresser helping sarah and those types of things

i will be the first to admit TSCC had short comings (quite a few)... but im sorry... a person that likes to watch people eat weird sh!t (ala fear factor), or watch washed up actors dance is not in the same league (intellect wise) as a TSCC fan. our show wasnt popular with the "mainstream" because it was thought provoking... which in turn caused many, MANY TV viewers brains to hurt.

to sum up
TSCC viewer = smart intelectual minority
reality/nonsense mainstream viewer = Simpleton idiot.

im sorry thats my opinin.

to OP.... sorry for going OT.

There really is no need to insult other people for not liking TSCC, even though we do. The reasons people don't like it are as various as the different people themselves. Sometimes its just as simple as different strokes for different folks; it just may not be their cup of tea.

Of course we as fans deeply miss the show and wish it can be brought back. But there is no need to insult those who didn't enjoy it as much as we do.

I agree; TSCC isn't to everyone's taste, but that doesn't mean that everyone who didn't watch it is stupid or unsophisticated.

I wonder though if the show falls between two stools: some drama fans would be put off by the SF elements, and some SF/action fans are put off by the drama and just want a simple, goodies vs baddies action show - and again that's not to suggest that the latter are unsophisticated; only that that's what they want from such a show.

I just got back from seeing Transformers 2. (Midnight showing.)

It was awesome. I really liked it. So much action with chases, fighting, shooting, and explosions. It was a lot of fun. Shia LaBeouf was much more credible than in the first movie. Megan Fox looked pretty. And I could follow the action along, only losing track of which Transformer was which once.

The plot was pretty straightforward, not more complex than the first Transformers movie. With all the action, the plot was actually unnecessary. I guess you needed a plot to hang all the action onto. Despite all that, I would say the movie made more sense than a lot of the James Bond flicks I've seen.

The theater was packed solid very early. They had to run three screens. There seemed like nobody in my theater over 22. (Too late for working people, only OK for students out of school.) And there seemed to be as many girls as boys.

I think Michael Bay is the perfect director for a movie of this type.

[edit] Forgot to mention that the audience clapped at the end of the movie.

And the audience watches American Idol...

You described the demo for this movie.

I grew up on Bruce Lee. I LIKE knowing which fighter is which. Seems to help me understand WHY they are fighting, but maybe that isn't needed any more.

This movie was long, and sometimes Shia might as well have been in American Pie, with his acting and his parents.

Fox, was just a fox, and gave great face and good legs. They "packaged" her to show skin at times to push buttons (both b & g: girls wold want to BE that "hot") as kids follow peer pressure. Look foward to seeing a lot of teen girls in cut off jeans this summer...

Thanks for the comments and your views. I like Star Trek a lot better for a non-stop action movie. This one became too much for me - but I'm not the target demo...

I also think this is what fans here meant when they thought all I wanted for TSCC was dumb stupid action chases and explosions, which is not true (not what I wanted - that's the point of this thread).

Cut offs were already popular at our local high school. Like 80% of the girls wore them. They show off the legs very nicely. We can tell the boys like em, yeah.
