promoting TSCC and our efforts... ON A BILLBOARD!!!

We've been writing letters, sending postcards, tweeting and emailing to have our voices heard. Now we're going bigger.The idea: a mobile billboard that drives around Los Angeles (with special attention to places like The WB headquarters) advertising our show and our efforts. We're currently working on a mockup of the design that will go on the billboard, which will be posted here once complete. The details: Time: Three days (minimum) = 24 hours Size: 10'H x 20'W (that's 3.048m x 6.096m) Cost: $750/day + $1250 setup = $3500 We want to coincide the billboard with the release of the Season Two DVD/Blu-Ray in the United States, so once production time is factored in, the fundraising deadline is: August 20th 2009 http://savethescc.com/billboard.html This campaign is big and it's just been posted tonight and we have already $350. With as many fans as we have... I mean thousands have signed the petition... $3500 should be easy to raise. Please get the word out! Donate what you can, you'll be doing this show and our efforts to save it a great service. Once the mock-up of the design is completed, we'll be putting it up on a picture of a mobile billboard so everyone will have a clearer understanding of what we're aiming at. There's a few TSCC fans in the LA area and will be videotaping and taking pictures of it. I for one will be sure to go up there and tape it.

Now we're going bigger."All these efforts are because TSCC has changed the view of television...It fulfilled the hope that there's a place for heavy material.This is about expressing the need for quality and speaking up for recognizing it, recognizing what TSCC has achieved. And maybe more people will be curious about TSCC… Publicity and engaging opinion is needed and can’t hurt. But most importantly, TSCC can get its well-deserved reputation back. It's not enough talking about something, the quality of talking counts the most. TSCC makes people think about serious questions...and leads to intellectual, hot discussions. There is a need for high standard. The audience’s talking about TSCC hasn't lessened, the fruitful discussions are still continuing... TSCC has achieved the attention of educated persons who can express they are not willing to be satisfied with less quality. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
