If this causes him to dry out and straighten up, it could be a good thing.

I just hope the cyclist is OK. Do you find this valuable?

Felony DUI?

Uh-oh. That could be a problem if his agent doesn't get him off the hook.

I will say this though:

Guy's an idiot. No excuse for drunk driving. 5  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

I'm concerned about the use of the term "felony" to describe what the police are charging him with.

I can't say I wouldn't be a heavy drinker myself if i spent my teenage years fighting robots from the future and Freddy Krueger. Do you find this valuable?

What exactly does that mean?

The usual course of action for DUI in my country would be a temporary driver's license suspension, and a fine. Do you find this valuable?

It's automatic. He hurt a biker. If he had just been caught DUI, it would simply be a felony. But he hit someone.

Misdemeanor DUI's can be punished by up to a year's jail time. Felony DUI means a longer term. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

A year in jail for misdemeanor DUI? Excessive, much?

Now I agree that a drunk person has no place behind the steering wheel... but I still find it excessive. IDK, different cultures, I guess... 0  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

D***, I was just giving Thomas praise a month ago. Now, he goes and does something like this. This one is probably going to cost him dearly.

Anyone know if the cyclist is alright? Injured badly?

Depending on the extent of the injuries would warrant a "felony DUI".

I have been going through this with my wife who was hit head-on by a drunk driver back in April 2008.

He was charged with felony DUI, but pleaded guilty to a lessor charge. He blew .18 on scene and .19 after lab test were done by the state police.

Even so, this was his punishment:

1. 90 days in jail (no early release)
2. $6,000 fine
3. Court costs ($2,500)
4. His car was booted for 1 year.
5. Placed on probation for 3 years.
6. Must attend AA meetings.
7. 1,000 hours of community service
8. License suspended for 1 year.

Oh yeah, and this was his first offense.

As for my wife:

1. Broken left leg.
2. Broken ribs
3. Torn ACL and MCL (left leg)
4. Sprained ankles
5. Torn MCL and ligaments (right leg)
6. Severely bruised chest (impact of air bag)
7. Three surgeries to repair Tibia, ACL, knee cap

I'm guessing he's not hurt badly, because if he was it would probably be the first thing TMZ would be keen to highlight.

"Terminator Kid viciously mauls bicyclist half to death" would garner more attention than "Terminator Kid injures bicyclist." Do you find this valuable?

Did you think his punishment was appropriate or too much or too little? Do you find this valuable?

THAT'S why DUI over here is such a big deal. A friend of mine died because of a drunk driver when I was in high school. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
