What I would like to see in T5.

I wish it would have a better plot, a story with some thoughtful complexity, well expressed and well executed. I don’t have a story in mind; I don’t have the skill of a good writer. But I know we do have good writers here on the wikis and maybe you will throw out some ideas. I have read some really good stories in the fan fics.The scenes I liked best in the Terminator franchise were the scenes of the future war battles. I liked the Resistance fighters in the rubble shooting aerial HKs, battling big tanklike terminators, and taking on endoskeleton terminators in fire fights. I liked Kyle’s flashbacks in T1 and Derek’s flashbacks in TSCC – Dungeons and Dragons and Goodbye to All That. Brave soldiers against awful awesome technology. Perhaps my all-time favorite part was from the Universal Studios bit called T2 3-D, not so much for the cool multimedia presentation but rather for the setting and the story. Somehow, T4 missed the mark for me. The closest I felt to it in T4 was the scene fighting the T-600 who shot its own foot off with a minigun to free itself to pursue Marcus. Maybe not everyone likes this aspect as much as I do, but I would like to see more. I also find the time travel aspect very interesting. It has great potential. I would like to see an entire cycle of time travel, not just the destination end, like Arnie and Kyle arriving in T1, the T-1000 and Uncle Bob arriving in T2, and Cromartie and Cameron fighting it out in TSCC. It would be nice to see a running battle in the future and follow it through TDE jumps to the past and maybe see the effects of the jumpers actions on the resulting future. Finally, the infiltrator aspect of skinning terminators is cool. We don’t know who is metal and who isn’t. The movie Screamers used this to great effect, too. Even on the wiki, I remember having read posts speculating that Jesse and Chola were infiltrators, metal. Do you find this valuable?

I love the future stuff, and scifi should always have at least one really cool piece of tech in it. But it is possible to glut the screen with awesome killer robots and flash-boom cgi.I'd like to see a really good human part that I could sympathize with, someone tough enough to handle adversity, but as vulnerable as an anyman. Kyle Reese was not an invincible wise-cracking movie hero, and neither was Sarah Connor. They were flawed tragic and real. I could feel the story along with them. I'd like to see a return to that dynamic. And bewbs. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

To continue Josh F. story and direction. John loves a Terminator (Cameron) and that relationship grows. John starts a friendship with a T1001 (Weaver) and a third faction is developed. The John Henry story begins. Many conspiracies start on both sides and a continuation of the TV series and future movies. Who trusts who and ect. It works as it did for BSG

But it is possible to glut the screen with awesome killer robots and flash-boom cgi.I would we happy with: 1- good / great plot (no like salvation bad plot) 2- Great action ( like T1, T2) 3- Great visual ( like T2) 4- some team work with TSCC ( I want T5 to help TSCC and TSCC to help T5; some team work TV Show and Movie like in Star Treak) TSCC is full of great ideas for terminator movies, some relation Movie / TV Show could help a lot all terminator world I like to dream :-) Do you find this valuable? |

I agree -- it would be really nice to see some kind of acknowledgment or tie-in with TSCC.It could be anywhere from one end being to give the whole backstory for TSCC, answering all our questions about who Cameron is, Weaver's story, is John still alive?, etc. or as little as just showing Allison or Cameron doing something in John's headquarters. Just so we aren't in a total vacuum relative to the story in the upcoming movies. And I think it should be rated "R" so they can show some racks for RDO. Do you find this valuable? |

A Jack Bauer tie-in would be nice, too.[true stuff] Jack has gained years that would make him over 64 from Season 1 to Season 8. The writers, none the less, write him as a 42 year old. [/true stuff] It's quite possible that Jack has retained his early years using Time travel. Not to mention the fact that Kiefer Sutherland would make a better John Connor. And it would tie up a few things pretty nice. ... Jack Bauer = John Connor Yeahhhhh =) Do you find this valuable? |

A TSCC ,movie would be great (especially if it gets Shirley's milky white hide back on screen) but I wouldn't want to think of it as T5. @Caesis: Jack Bauer? IS John Connor? It is a pic of Jennifer Morrison, an actress on the TV series House. Jennifer plays the character Dr. Allison Cameron, who is a regular on Dr. House's team of diagnosticians at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in Princeton, NJ. I thought the name was a remarkable coincidence with TSCC's Cameron Phillips who is based on Allison Young. "I would we happy with:good points and for tscc to be back and maybe succsessful they should be related in some way , not 2 totally different storys. but tscc has already laid out alot of story which would mean the movie would have to use some ideas from what was done in tscc and I dont know if they [whoever "they" turn out to be ] would want to do that. OT for T-5 I would like to see something besides the continuation of the T-4 story line, I think they need to reboot. bring it back to present day, have a terminator enemy chasing them that is new in some way but not ridiculous. it could also have T-800 helpers. It could start out in the future so you get to see some of the future scenes and then see them come back . Do you find this valuable? |

What? Not sure why so many people didn't like T5 for the action. The problem was that's all that it had in it. Special affects were great along with some of the machine models. What it lacked was character development and character relationships. It didn't have much substance in terms of complex dialog. It had plenty of actions, but all action don't make a good movie. Like Transformers. lol Good special affects, ok plot line, but not much else.

One thought I had was that the person who invented the time machine must be an important asset.Both Skynet and the Resistance will want to control this guy (or gal). So what about a story about him? Like he is puttering away in his lab and some Skynet cyborg travels back to his time and tries to kidnap him. And a Resistance fighter appears to protect him, like Kyle did for Sarah. We could see the battle begin in the future, see the two agents sent back, and watch them fighting over the scientist. Maybe we could even see the future being changed, somehow. It would be a complete cycle. We could even see a little of Cam's backstory in the future scenes preceding the time jumps back. We could have some bewbs for prurient interests. But whose bewbs? 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I like your idea. Maybe Danny Dyson invents the TDE? Maybe the humans are trying to terminate the human, because without the time machine T1 would have been a resistance victory, The skynet agent would have the job of protecting him! Then in a twist right out of an M. Night Shyamaln movie, the guy decides to off himself to save humanity. And at some point in the battle a locker room wall is destroyed, causing topless cheerleaders to run around screaming, providing a few seconds of gratuitous jiggling. 2 out of 2 found this valuable.
