The program aired tonight but it was hard to find on my guide since it was listed as "Chronicles" rather than "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles". Also, the genre was listed as "Drama" rather than "Sci-fi". I haven't seen promotional stupidity like this since "Star Trek: Enterprise" was listed as "Enterpirse" for the first few seasons.

Too early to tell after only 2 shows. The next 2-3 shows should give me a better idea what direction this is going in , in terms, of the Characters, character development, dialogue and plots.
So far its the best thing on Monday nites. Far better than Monday Nite Football too lol.

I enjoyed the show!!! Give it a good 3.75 stars out of 4, much better than most of the 1 1/2 - 2 Stars sutff on the rest of the networks. If you want to sit back and tear it apart, suit yourselfs but then quit bitching about it and change the station-go watch American Gladiator or some other mindless show that requires an IQ of about 65 to understand

I saw this episode last night. It was bad! The Terminator is lame it looks like bad acting, And John is back in high school? Wasn't he in some cave? The world was ending right? Theres a part when the Terminator shoots at Sarah in her house with a Glock. She hides behind a lazy boy type chair. The bullets don't even go through WTF? I just think its all very lame.

Obviously this episode was more about character development, at least on the end of developing new characters, and the 2 we know well that they are becoming a little more acustom to 7-8 years later.
I was thinking today if and when they would mention 9/11 and the whole war on terrorism thing as they travelled past it. I was expecting something a little more climatic to it however that would probably just go too well with U.S. propaganda sneaking it's way into a prime time television series. Rather than dwell on plot holes and what not, I just watch it as it is a new history to a story I've enjoyed since I was young. I love the fact Sarah is being quite direct with Cameron about anything and everything from smacking her (wouldn't that break her hand? haha) to tossing her out the window. This to me obviously means in learning more about Cameron's model type, she is less likely to be a super heavy weight like Arnold style, yet she has the ability to match strength. Obviously we will learn more about her in the forth coming episodes. Pretty cool when the T-800 scanned her "unknown cyborg". I also like the fact she is mimicing people and learning much like Arnold did in T2 (more so the deleted scenes of T2).

The future is not fixed. Our future is not fixed. The annihilation of our species is not fixed. We will be through so many iterations of our demise. No single story tells of our fate. Connor holds one key to the many doors into tomorrow. Connor holds the pestle of our fate, to be ground into powder beneath the onslaught of the machines or held up in glory against our fate.
Connor saves us from annihilation over and again. Both names in history burned. Like brands on the skulls of our mechanical demons, they fight to the end and at every turn give up everything for us. Our saviors are human. Chrome gods conspire to determine our fate. Saviors change this into the possibility of a future that is not determined. Humanity fights for free will, the machines fight to be our fate. Never will the predictable be our plan. It will kill us sure as fate. Control is an illusion and the machines know this. Owning the future is our goal, but in fact, the only thing we strive for is how to remain unpredictable, because when the machines can predict our choices, they will kill us, they will own us, and they will destroy us. Never let the machines think they know us. Give no thought to your future; only think about how to survive today. Even those sent back, posing as our allies must not know our thoughts. The future is not set. The one thing Connors have taught us is that every turn must have a random outcome, never chose a way that makes sense because it leads to certain death. John the king is always returning to take his kingdom and always it is his inner strength that we look forward to finding. He is the blade. He is Excalibur. He is the vorpal sword that has the edge that cuts through all. He is the talisman that hope defines. Shaped by his mother, daughter of Vulcan. Annealed in the fires of doom to bring about the resurrection of man after Armageddon. Think of him as the warrior of the future, he is our bridge to tomorrow. Always fight, to the end... SC

Whoever the actress is thats playing Sarah has got it all wrong. Did the producers even make this lady watch the first 2 Terminator movies? Sarah Connor would not worry about fixing her hair all pretty, putting on makeup or dressing nice. She was a tough, hardcore bitch who didn't care about feelings! She never smiled, didn't care for small talk... The show really isn't so bad, I just think they could have cast Sarah with a more "rough" looking actress. WEAK!!!

1. I hope John Connor doesn't continue to be a whiny brat for too long. "Mom, make it stop. Make it stop, Mom" Ugh.
2. I hope he never does anything romantic with the Terminator. That would be a "jump the shark" moment for me. 3. I hope this show has a nice 5 to 7 year run. There's so much you can do with this show. 4. I hope the show doesn't get formulaic; each week a new Terminator comes from the future to continue hunting and it becomes a glorified, television version of Mortal Combat. 5. I hope people lay off this idea that the TV show needs to follow exactly what was put down in T3. T3 was, for all intents and purposes, a flawed movie. Alright, I'll say it: it was a bad movie. This show has lots of potential and creative license should be given.

As I said in the header, after 4 hours I like the story, but somethings are bothering me. Being a sci-fi fan, I am easily drawn to the show. But as others have pointed out some flaws in the show, the Kevlar in the chair was a nice cover. But how again did the Terminators bare mechanical head make it through the time vortex? Next John in the apple store, by the way nice sponsor plug, not knowing to delete the history, COME ON he is from 1999 not 1979, they have had a history file on windows and OS since the early 90s. But as for the show, I like the cast, they are interesting. John Connor as someone else pointed out is a bit, weak, for a charecter who in T-2 (which did happen in this story arc) was strong willed, savy, and just a bit bossy, is now a complete wimp. Sarah Conor is where I expect her to be, worn down, tired of running, tired of fighting and just basicly at the breaking point.
Still no word on the new "gaurdian" terminator, she/it is a interesting thing, strong fast, and almost human. But still mechanical in nature and almost childlike in her attempts to fit in. Mean while the other terminators are much like the "bull in a china shop" they just steam roll through things in a very methodical manor with no real regaurd to anything...

Naysayers... Shut the @#$% up, get off this forum, and stop watching the show. The rest of us are tired of hearing you whiners.
I bet all those folks who complained so much about the show, will watch it all the way to the end, complaining all the way about how terrible the show is. But they won't stop watching. I guess they just get a kick out of posting nasty comments on forums. So why don't you all STFU!!!!!

Do you think these actors portray the character precisely and accurately, or are they completely off? If you don't like the actors post who you would want to be playing them.

I really dont See and Issue with the time line, I dont recall all of the dates and years as it has been forever since I watched the Movies! However We should realize that a key point of Terminator is that they are messing with TIME. Now if I am correct the events of T2 did not stop Skynet from going online, only Delayed it correct?
So lets say that to this point in the show the events we see in T3 are not set to happen, and somthing that occures in te show its self causes those events to take place. I have a odd feeling we are going to see much more time travel. Over all I liked the show, Being a huge Star wars fan it gives me hope that the new live action Tv show in the works can be a sucess also! I was a little off about No Arnold. I would just advise everyone to give it a shot let the plot unfold and see how they make since of the time line!

What a whimp! Hasn't Sara taught him anything. He doesn't do much but whine about his life. In T2 he was a street wise kid who was able to take care of himself. This John doesn't seem to have a clue. The T2 personality of John was more likable and befievable as a future leader.

I do find the new Sarah Connor to be very tough but not seeing the heart and feel. The new John Connor is a good actor as well but kind of wimpy and bratty . I am sure he will toughen up towards the end of the show. I think Furlong could kick his butt.
The new Good Terminator does not appear that believable. MAybe she is just too small or maybe she does not seem to have any upgrades over the T-100 model. What do you think.
